Why patients choose us

Why patients choose WegovyPills.org for Wegovy

If you've researched Wegovy, you already know it works. The questions patients bring us are practical: how do I get the prescription, what does it actually cost, and who helps me during treatment? We answer all three at your first free consultation.

Same-day prescription

A board-certified physician reviews your eligibility, discusses your goals, and writes your Wegovy prescription the same day you qualify — one short telehealth visit, no clinic, no subscription lock-in.

7-day human support

Direct access to a dedicated care team every day of the week — dose escalation, progress reviews, medical and logistical questions. No chatbot loops; you reach a real person.

Clinically-backed results

The STEP 1 trial (1,961 adults) showed 14.9% average weight loss over 68 weeks, with about a third of participants losing 20% or more of their body weight.

Pay only when you order

No mandatory membership or subscription fees — you're not charged until you order. Refills stay online, and if needles are a barrier, Wegovy pills from $149/mo are an option your doctor can discuss.

Eligibility

Are you a candidate for Wegovy?

Most adults who qualify have one or more of the following:

  • BMI of 30 or higher
  • BMI of 27+ with hypertension, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, or sleep apnea
  • Adult aged 18 or over
  • No personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or MEN 2 syndrome
  • Comfortable with once-weekly self-injection and reliable cold storage (36–46°F)
1/3

What is your primary goal for weight loss?

Wegovy is contraindicated with a personal or family history of MTC or MEN 2, and is not approved under 18. If needles or cold storage are a barrier, needle-free Wegovy pills (oral semaglutide, from $149/month) are an alternative worth discussing. Not sure if you qualify? Our physicians review your full history at the free consultation.

How much weight can you lose with Wegovy?

In the STEP 1 phase 3 trial (1,961 adults, 68 weeks), once-weekly Wegovy 2.4 mg produced a mean body-weight reduction of 14.9% versus 2.4% with placebo — and the SELECT trial (17,604 adults) showed a 20% relative reduction in major cardiovascular events in adults with obesity and established cardiovascular disease.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions about Wegovy

In the STEP 1 trial of 1,961 adults, once-weekly Wegovy 2.4 mg produced 14.9% average weight loss over 68 weeks versus 2.4% with placebo, and about a third of participants lost 20% or more. Individual results vary with dose, diet, activity, and adherence — your doctor sets realistic goals at the free consultation.
Book a free telehealth consultation (about two minutes to schedule, same-day slots available). A board-certified doctor reviews your eligibility and health history in a short video or phone visit, and if you qualify, writes your Wegovy prescription the same day — typically within 10–15 minutes of approval.
Both contain semaglutide, but Wegovy 2.4 mg is FDA-approved and dosed for chronic weight management, while Ozempic (up to 2 mg) is approved for type 2 diabetes. If weight loss is the goal, Wegovy is the formulation designed for it.
Same molecule, two formats: the injection is 2.4 mg once weekly with refrigerated pens; the pill is taken once daily on an empty stomach with no needles and no refrigeration. Studied results are comparable, so the better option is the routine you'll sustain — both start at $149/month here.
Our self-pay program starts at $149/month including the free consultation, prescription, dose titration, refills, and tracked delivery. Brand-name Wegovy through manufacturer channels runs higher — around $349/month at starter doses — and eligible commercially insured patients may pay less with the manufacturer savings card.
Many commercial plans cover Wegovy for a BMI of 30+, or 27+ with a qualifying condition, usually with prior authorization; Medicare coverage varies. Our program is self-pay so no coverage is required, and your physician can help with prior-authorization paperwork if you pursue insurance.
Wegovy comes in a pre-filled, single-use pen injected under the skin of the stomach, thigh, or upper arm once weekly, rotating sites each week. Your doctor and the pen's instructions walk you through the first injection, and our care team is available 7 days a week for questions.
Treatment starts low and steps up roughly monthly under your doctor's guidance — beginning at 0.25 mg weekly and titrating through 0.5, 1, and 1.7 mg toward the 2.4 mg maintenance dose — to minimize digestive side effects. Never change doses on your own.
Appetite changes often appear within the first weeks at starter doses, while meaningful weight loss builds over months as the dose titrates up. In STEP 1, results accumulated across the full 68 weeks — consistency matters more than speed.
Yes — switching between formats is common and straightforward, but the timing and dosing belong with your doctor. At a free consultation, your physician reviews your current dose and plans the transition so appetite control stays continuous.

About treatment results

Individual results vary and are not guaranteed. Weight-loss figures on this page come from STEP 1, a 68-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of once-weekly semaglutide 2.4 mg in 1,961 adults (Wilding et al., New England Journal of Medicine, 2021); cardiovascular figures come from SELECT, a placebo-controlled outcomes trial in 17,604 adults with obesity and established cardiovascular disease (Lincoff et al., NEJM, 2023). Participants in both followed lifestyle interventions. Outcomes depend on dose, adherence, diet, activity, sex, baseline weight, and other conditions. Wegovy® should only be used under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.

Boxed warning and serious risks

Semaglutide carries a boxed warning: in rodent studies it caused thyroid C-cell tumors, and it is not known whether it causes medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) in humans. Do not use Wegovy® if you or a family member has a history of MTC or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). Other serious risks in prescribing information include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney injury, hypoglycemia with certain diabetes medications, diabetic retinopathy complications in patients with type 2 diabetes, severe allergic reactions, and mood changes — monitor for new or worsening depression or suicidal thoughts, contact your provider promptly if they occur, and in the U.S. call or text 988 in a mental-health emergency. Do not use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, or after a prior serious allergic reaction to semaglutide. Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, and stomach discomfort, typically easing with gradual dose escalation.

Testimonials and comparisons
