Zepbound
Brand-name tirzepatide FDA-approved for chronic weight management and obstructive sleep apnea in adults with obesity.
Zepbound is Eli Lilly's weight-management brand of tirzepatide, approved in late 2023 on the strength of SURMOUNT-1, where the 15 mg dose averaged 22.5% body-weight loss over 72 weeks and 57% of participants lost at least a fifth of their body weight. It was later also approved for moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea in adults with obesity — the first medication with that indication.
It ships as weekly single-dose pens or vials, escalated stepwise from 2.5 mg toward 15 mg as tolerated. Zepbound versus Mounjaro is a labeling distinction, not a chemical one: same tirzepatide, different approved use. In our tirzepatide program the prescribing doctor matches the appropriate brand, from $299/month.
